Our workshop is at Plot No. 7A2/10 in Phase-1 of the Ida in Patancheru. It is one of the older industrial areas around here, so the roads are a bit worn and there is a lot of history in the buildings. We have a small corner of the estate where we do our engineering work. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of tools and old machines that we still use because they work better than the new ones sometimes. There is usually a bit of oil on the floor and the smell of cooling fluid in the air, which is just part of the job. We don't really have any office staff, so we handle the paperwork ourselves on a small desk tucked into the corner near the entrance. It can get pretty loud when several machines are running at once, so we have to shout a bit to be heard over the noise. We know the other people in Phase-1 pretty well, and there is a sense of community among the folks who have been here for a long time. We start our day early when the air is still a bit fresh and try to get through the most difficult jobs before the afternoon slump hits. It is simple work in a simple place, and that suits us just fine without any extra fuss or fancy titles.
