Bhatauli Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based out of Gram Bhatauli, right here in the Dataganj area. It all started because a few of us farmers wanted to pool our resources together. Kunvarpal’s place is where we usually meet up to discuss what we’re planting next or how the markets are looking. It’s a local effort, nothing more, nothing less. We spend most of our time out in the dirt, not sitting behind desks in some big city. The village is small and everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. Being a farmer producer company helps us when we need to buy things in bulk. It saves a few rupees here and there, which counts for a lot when the rains don't come on time like they should. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website to show off. We just do the work. It’s about the crops and the changing seasons. Sometimes we have meetings under the big tree to figure out who needs what for the next month. Dataganj is home for us. We’ve seen the seasons change many times over the years. The goal is just to keep the farms running and maybe help the younger generation see that there is still a future in this land. It gets dusty in the summer and muddy in the monsoon. That’s just the way it goes. We’re just a bunch of neighbors working the same ground and trying to get by.
