About Fly Ash Bricks – Building & Construction Material in Sambalpur
Up near Hira Kud, you’ll find us at Fly Ash Bricks. We are close to Hotel Parkin, so we see a lot of travelers and people visiting the dam area. The Taluka Jujomura region is quite scenic, though our yard is mostly just gray and brown. Working with fly ash is a bit different than the traditional red clay; it’s a finer dust that seems to settle on every surface. We have a small setup in the district where we mix everything and press the blocks. It’s a bit noisier than a regular brick kiln because of the machinery we use. Some mornings, the mist from the water nearby is so thick you can’t see the hotel from our gate. We get people stopping by who are just curious about what we’re making. It’s not a glamorous job, and the work is pretty repetitive. We stand by the conveyor or the press for hours, making sure each one is shaped right. The sun can be brutal out here in the open, so we have a small thatch hut for breaks. We don’t really have a big sales team; it’s just us answering the phone when it rings and writing orders on whatever paper is handy. It’s a practical way to make a living in a beautiful part of the country.
