St Engineering Works

We are located right across from the ESI Quarters on Steel Plant Main Road. Our workshop is at Plot 3 in the S.Kollapatty Post area. Being near the steel plant means there is always something going on, and the road stays busy with heavy vehicles. We do a lot of the hands-on engineering work that people in this part of town need. It’s a lot of welding, cutting, and fitting parts together. Our clothes usually have a few holes in them from the sparks, and there is always a layer of iron dust on everything, but that’s just part of the trade. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the district, just the one that does the job right without a lot of fuss. Most of our guys have been working with metal since they were kids. We talk about the projects while we work, figuring out the best way to move forward without spending too much of the customer's money. It’s a noisy place to spend the day, but we’re used to it. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for years and people know where to find us. If the door is open, we’re working. That’s about all there is to it. We like the grit and the challenge of fixing things that others might just throw away.
