We are right on the Attur Main Road in Veeraganur, so the dust from the passing trucks is something we just live with. The shop at number 38 is mostly filled with sacks and crates that come in from all over the region. It’s a bit of a workout moving things around, and my arms are usually tired by lunch. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us doing the heavy lifting and counting the inventory. Sometimes the orders get delayed, and we have to spend the whole day on the phone trying to track down a driver. It’s frustrating, but that’s just the trading business. We try to keep the place organized, but when three different shipments arrive at once, the floor disappears under all the goods. We use a simple fan to keep the air moving, though it doesn't do much when the sun is directly overhead. People stop by to pick up bulk orders, and we spend a lot of time loading up their vehicles out front. It’s a lot of manual labor and checking lists twice to make sure we didn't miss anything. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on the people who know us and the traffic on the main road. The evenings are a nice time because the air cools down and we can finally see the bottom of the to-do list for the day.
