Rajkumar Building Emporium

Our place, Rajkumar Building Emporium, is tucked into Maruthi Complex on Omalur Road. It’s at No.15/116. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while. It’s a busy road, lots of trucks and cars going by all day long. Inside the complex, it’s a bit quieter but we stay busy with orders. We keep a lot of building supplies here. It’s heavy stuff, so there is always someone lifting or moving pallets. My brother and I started this because there was a lot of building happening around Omalur Road. We figured people needed a place nearby to get their supplies without driving too far. We aren't architects or anything like that. We just know the materials. If you need cement or bricks or pipes, we usually have them sitting in the back. The walls are a bit stained from all the dust, and the desk is covered in old invoices. We don't use computers for everything; sometimes a pen and paper is just faster. We don’t have a marketing guy. People just know we are here. We talk to the contractors and the homeowners who are trying to fix up their kitchens. It’s a practical business. We don't make big promises we can't keep. If we don't have something, we just tell you. That’s how we like to run things. The trucks parked outside often block the entrance to the complex for a few minutes while we load up. The neighbors are patient about it because they know we’re just doing our jobs. It is just the way things go at the shop.
