Sri Annamalai Chemicals

Sri Annamalai Chemicals is located at C-5 in the Sidco Industrial Estate over in Mettur Dam. It’s a quiet part of the estate compared to some of the bigger factories, but we stay busy enough. We deal with various chemicals, so there’s always a bit of a sharp smell in the air around the unit. The office is just a small room partitioned off from the main storage area. It’s nothing fancy, just a couple of desks and a lot of logbooks. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure everything is stored where it should be. It’s a lot of responsibility, so we try not to rush things. The weather in Mettur Dam can get very hot, and the tin roof on our building doesn’t help much, but we have a few good fans. Our team is small, mostly locals who have been with us since we started. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a sales team traveling around. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen our sign in the estate. We take our work seriously but we don’t feel the need to use big corporate words. It’s just about getting the right chemicals to the right people safely. Sometimes deliveries are delayed because of the winding roads around the dam, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a steady, honest living, and we’re happy to be here.
