Jayachitra Chemicals

Jayachitra Chemicals is located at number 36 on Kanakkar Street. It’s a narrow street and things can get pretty crowded during the day. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time. It’s a very local feel. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist. Usually, if you walk in, you'll see one of us working in the back or handling some boxes. We deal with chemicals, so things have to stay organized, but the place definitely has that lived-in look. We don't do any big promotions. Most of our customers are folks who have been buying from us for years. They know the street and they know our door. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front when things are slow. The air smells like the city and whatever we are moving that day. We aren't trying to be a multinational corporation. We are just a small business on Kanakkar Street. It’s a lot of manual work and checking lists. We don't have fancy software for everything; some things are still written in ledgers. It works for us. We know our business and we know our customers. We aren't looking to change much. We just show up, do the work, and make sure everything is sorted before we lock up for the night. That's the way it's been for years.
