Madha Coffee Works

Madha Coffee Works is located at number 36 in Samayapuram, up here in Yercaud. Being in a place like this, we get a mix of locals and people who are just visiting the area for the views. Our shop is quite plain, really. We focus mostly on the coffee itself, the way we have always done it. The smell of roasting beans is usually what people notice first when they walk in from the street. It is a small building and we use every bit of space we have for the equipment and the bags of beans. It can get a bit dusty with all the work going on, but that is part of the process. We have been here for a good while and the building shows its age a little bit, but it is solid. We aren't a cafe with soft couches; it is more of a working shop where things get done. People come in to buy what they need and maybe stay for a quick chat about the weather or the local news. The air is a bit cooler here in the hills, so a hot drink is always welcome. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is a quiet life for the most part, except when the tourist season kicks in and the roads get narrow with the traffic.
