Boopathy Coffee Shop

If you’re on Gandhi Road in Salem, you’ll find Boopathy Coffee Shop right across from the State Bank. We’ve been in Peramanur for a long time, and this spot has become a second home to us. It’s a small shop, mostly focused on coffee and a few things to bite on. We don’t have a big team of waiters or a fancy espresso machine. It’s just the way we’ve always done it. People in Salem like their coffee, and we try to make it the way they expect. It’s a bit noisy because of the traffic on Gandhi Road, and being opposite the bank means there’s always people moving around. We have a few benches where you can sit, but many people just stand and talk. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the floor shows a bit of wear from all the boots coming through. We open up early because the bank staff and the early commuters need their fix before they start their day. We don’t have a marketing plan or any glossy flyers. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for years. Most people know us by name, and we know how they like their drink. It’s a simple life running a coffee shop in 636007. We just focus on the next cup and making sure the sugar hasn't run out. It’s honest work and we like being part of the Peramanur community.
