Rachana Public School Barahi

We are located in Das Tola Barahi, which is part of Ward No-14 in Sour Bazar. It is a bit of a journey to get here if you aren't from around Saharsa. The area is very local, with houses and small shops all around us. The school itself isn't a massive complex, but it fits into the neighborhood well. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know each other pretty well. The rooms are basic with just four walls, some benches, and a place for the teacher to stand. We don't have a lot of the high-tech stuff you might see in big cities, but the teaching gets done regardless. During the rainy season, the roads in Barahi can get a bit muddy, so everyone arrives with a bit of dirt on their shoes. We have a small area where the kids play, and it gets quite loud during the break times. Rachana Public School Barahi is a place where things are done simply. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, the students, and the daily lessons. There’s a lot of chatter in the local language in the halls. It feels like a part of the village rather than something separate from it. We just keep the gates open and do our best to keep the day moving for everyone who walks through the door.
