Quantum Central School

We are located on Thakur Baadi Road in Simri Bakhtiarpur. It’s a typical street in Saharsa where things move a bit slower than in the big cities. The school sits right there where the cycles and rickshaws pass by all day. We have a small entrance that leads into the main courtyard. During the monsoon, the road gets a bit muddy, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. The building is simple, just concrete and bricks with some green plants in pots near the entrance. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights. Inside, the classrooms are basic with wooden benches that have seen many years of use. We start the day early before the sun gets too high. You can hear the chatter of children from blocks away. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know each other’s business. We sit in the office and talk about the local news while waiting for the bells to ring. There’s always a bit of dust in the air, especially when the wind picks up from the fields. We don’t use any complicated systems, just pens, paper, and hard work. People stop by the gate just to say hello or ask about their kids. It’s a community feeling more than anything else. Simri Bakhtiarpur is a small place, and we are just a small part of it, trying to keep the doors open and the desks occupied every single day without much fuss.
