Sri B. M. Shah College of Pharm. Edu. & Research is out on Dhansura Road in Modasa. If you are from around here in Gujarat, you probably know the college campus. It’s a decent-sized place and we spend most of our time focused on pharmacy studies and research. Pharmacy is a lot of work, so our students are usually pretty busy in the labs or reading up on their notes. The building has been around for a good while, so it has that lived-in feel. It’s not a shiny new corporate office, it’s a school. We have the labs set up with the equipment needed for the practical side of things. It’s important because you can’t learn pharmacy just from books. The campus has some trees which give a bit of shade when the Gujarat sun gets really hot in the afternoons. Our staff are regular people who know their stuff. We don't have any big, polished speeches to give. We just open up in the morning, get the labs ready, and help the students through their curriculum. It gets a bit hectic during exam season or when new students are trying to register, but we manage to get through it. People come to us because they want to work in healthcare or medicine, and we provide the space for them to do that. It’s a honest, no-frills kind of environment. We just keep things moving along day by day.
