At R.K.Patel College Of Education, we spend most of our days working with folks who want to become teachers. The college is located out in Karmipura, Talod, which is a quiet part of Gujarat. We started this place because there was a need for a training center around here. Every morning, you see students coming in from nearby villages. Some take the bus, others walk if they live close enough. The building is pretty simple, nothing fancy, but it gets the job done for the classes we hold. We have classrooms filled with benches where people sit for hours listening to lectures about how to manage a classroom or explain a math problem to a kid. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. Most of the staff here have been around for a while, so we know each other well. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just know us by word of mouth in the Talod area. There is always some paperwork to do or a lesson plan to check. In the evenings, once the students head home, the place gets real quiet. It is just a regular college trying to help people get their degrees so they can go work in schools elsewhere. We try to keep things organized, even if it feels a bit hectic during exam times or when new admissions start up in the summer months.
