Sheth H P Arts & T S M Commerce College is located in Talod, which is in the Sabarkantha district of Gujarat. It’s a small town, and the college is one of the main places where the local young people go after finishing school. The building is a simple, functional structure that houses both the arts and the commerce departments. We have a lot of students who come in from the nearby farms and villages, so the parking area is always full of bicycles and old motorbikes. The classrooms are large with simple wooden benches, and the windows usually look out onto the trees on the campus. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except during the break times when the hallways fill up with students chatting in Gujarati. We have a small library where you can find the textbooks needed for the courses, and a computer lab that the students use for their commerce projects. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal. Most of the staff live in Talod or nearby, so it feels more like a big family than a formal institution. We don't have any polished marketing or big events; we just focus on the daily lectures and making sure the students are ready for their university exams. The garden has a few benches where people sit and eat their lunch in the shade. It’s a very grounded, local college that has served this district for many years.
