If you take the road down to Chamunda Mandir in Vadali, you’ll see Sheth C J High School. It’s right there in the Sabarkantha district. The road is often busy with people going to the temple or the local market. Our school has been a fixture in Vadali for quite a few years now. It’s a sturdy building, though it shows its age in places. We have students coming in from all over the taluka. The morning assembly is usually the loudest part of the day, and then things settle down into the usual school routine. We have a small staff of teachers and some helpers who keep the place running. We don’t use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just a high school. We have desks, chairs, and blackboards. The office handles the paperwork, and we try to keep things as organized as possible despite the occasional chaos that comes with hundreds of kids. Sometimes the cows from the nearby fields wander near the gate, or the temple bells ring during a lesson. It’s just part of life here. We aren't looking to be the biggest or most modern school. We just want to be a steady place where kids can come to study. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do every day. The years just seem to fly by in this building. It is a simple life for us.
