Ankit Fabricator

Ankit Fabricator is located in Netaji Nagar. It’s basically a metal shop where we spend our days cutting, welding, and putting things together. The floor is usually covered in scrap metal and iron filings, so you have to watch where you step. It’s loud, messy work, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't have a formal office really, just a small corner with a desk and a chair where we keep the bills. Most of the time, I’m out on the floor with the guys. Netaji Nagar is a busy neighborhood with a lot of small shops like ours. We get people coming in with all sorts of requests, from fixing a gate to making custom frames for their houses. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures. People usually find us because they saw our sign or someone told them we could do the job. The equipment we use is heavy and old, but it still works fine if you treat it right. Sometimes the heat from the welding makes the whole place feel like an oven, especially in the summer. We drink a lot of water and take breaks when we can. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. We go home with dirty hands and tired backs, but the work gets done. That’s just the life of a fabricator here. We keep things simple and just focus on the welding and the metal.
