Nav Durga Auto Industries is situated in Sanjay Colony, right near the Jind Hisar By Pass in Rohtak. Being close to the post office helps people find us, though the bypass can get really backed up during the day. We deal with auto parts and industrial stuff mostly. It’s a greasy, hands-on kind of job. My clothes are usually stained with oil by noon. The workshop is in a busy part of town, so there’s always noise from trucks and machinery. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s where we work every day. We’ve got a lot of heavy equipment packed into the space. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we have a big order to get through. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If someone comes by, they just walk into the shop and find one of us. We talk plainly and don't use any of that business talk you hear in cities. It’s just Rohtak style. We work hard, sometimes late into the night if a deadline is coming up. The bypass is always humming with traffic, which reminds us that things are always moving. We like being part of the industrial side of things. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We don't need much else besides our tools and a bit of tea to keep us going through the afternoon shift.
