Jagat Travels & Studio

Rohtak's Delhi Road gets quite busy, especially right here across from the SBI Bank in Model Town. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, running Jagat Travels & Studio. Most days start with opening up the shutters and getting the computers going. One side of the room handles the travel bookings, where we deal with trains and buses and people asking about flight prices. Then there’s the studio part. We have the backdrop and the lights set up for when folks need a quick photo for an ID or some paperwork. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when three or four people are waiting at the same time, and the printer is humming in the corner. We usually have a thermos of tea behind the counter to stay awake during the slow afternoon hours. The traffic outside never really stops, and you can hear the horns all day long. It's just a regular local shop where we spend our hours sorting out tickets and taking pictures. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there waiting for the backup to kick in. It isn't a fancy setup with big glass walls or anything. We have some old chairs for people to sit on while they wait for their prints to dry or their tickets to get confirmed. It's just how we do things here every day in Rohtak. We don't spend money on fancy signs, we just focus on the paperwork.
