Ganesh Electric Store

This shop is in Rohtak, right near A K Automatic Street. If you are walking down that way, you will see our sign. Inside, it is mostly boxes stacked up to the ceiling. We have wires, bulbs, switches, and all that stuff people need for their houses. Haryana gets pretty hot, so we sell a lot of fans during the summer months. People come in asking for specific parts for their old heaters or some new LED lights. I try to keep track of where everything is, but sometimes a specific fuse box gets buried under some cable rolls. The counter is a bit scratched up from people dragging heavy items across it. We open up early because the laborers and contractors like to pick up their supplies before they head to the work sites. It’s a busy street, so there is always noise from the traffic and people shouting to each other outside. My brother usually sits at the back handling the accounts while I talk to the customers. We don't have a computer system that works all the time, so we still write a lot of things down in the big ledger books. Sometimes we run out of chai by noon because so many neighbors drop by just to talk for a minute. It is a simple store, nothing fancy, just filled with enough electrical gear to keep most houses in the area running.
