Yadav Steel is tucked away in Mandir Wali Gali in Shakti Nagar. If you follow the sound of metal clanging and grinding, you'll probably find us without much trouble. We work with all kinds of steel and iron pieces, doing the heavy lifting and cutting. It’s a dirty job, and our clothes are usually covered in metal dust and grease by the time we go for lunch. We have saws for cutting and some basic tools for bending the metal into the shapes people ask for. The shop is mostly open-air so we can get some breeze, but it still gets quite hot in the summer months. Being in Mandir Wali Gali means we see people going to the temple all day long. It’s a narrow lane, so getting big steel rods in and out on the carts is always a bit of a challenge. We have to be careful not to block the path for the neighbors for too long. We don't have a big corporate office; our office is just a wooden table in the corner where we write out the bills and keep our tools. People come to us when they are building a house or need a gate fixed or a frame made. We just tell them what it will cost and how long it will take us to finish it. There’s no fancy talk here. We just work with our hands and try to get the measurements right.
