Muniguda (Junior) College, Gobardhana

Located in Muniguda, Rayagada, our college serves the local students in the Gobardhana area. It’s a junior college, which means we mostly deal with teenagers who are finishing their higher secondary education. The surroundings are quite green, and it feels a bit isolated from the big cities. We have a few main buildings with classrooms that have seen a lot of years. The furniture is simple, and we don't have many of the modern gadgets you find in urban schools. Teachers here are part of the community, and they know the students’ families well. We spend our days following the state syllabus and preparing for the annual exams. It’s a lot of routine work, honestly. We open the gates early, and students come in from the nearby villages, some walking and some on bikes. There isn’t a fancy website or a big publicity team. Word gets around locally about when admissions start. During the summer, it gets quite hot, and we just try to keep everyone focused on their books. We have a small playground where the kids gather during the lunch break. It’s a modest place that provides a necessary path for the youth here to move forward. We don't try to be anything more than a local college where people can study. It’s just a regular, quiet place of learning in the heart of Rayagada that we keep running.
