Our place, Sunrag Agro And Dairy Private Limited, is situated at Nerkewadi in Rajapur, which is in the Ratnagiri district. It’s a beautiful part of Maharashtra, but the work here is constant and doesn't really stop for holidays. We focus on both farming and dairy. If you know anything about cows, you know they need attention every single day, early in the morning and late at night. Shri Raghav Narayan Luka started this to bring some structure to how we handle the milk and the crops. Ratnagiri is famous for its fruit, but dairy is also a big part of how people survive here. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the dairy and agro work we do is handled right. The roads around Nerkewadi can be a bit rough, especially during the monsoon when it rains non-stop for days. Everything gets green and muddy. We spend a lot of time cleaning the sheds and making sure the animals are fed. It’s a dirty job most of the time, and you won’t find us in suits and ties. We wear what’s practical for the farm. There’s always something breaking that needs fixing, or a cow that needs the vet. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the business running for the local people involved. It is a simple life of hard work.
