Umariyaagro Producer Company Limited

Umariyaagro Producer Company Limited is based out of Barda Rath, and we usually meet up over at Kushum’s place. It is a quiet spot, and you can hear the birds more than any traffic. We are mostly folks who grow things for a living, and we figured it was time we had a proper name for what we do. The area around Rath has good soil if you know how to treat it, but the weather can be a real pain sometimes. Last year the dry spell lasted way too long, and we were all worried. Having this company means we can talk to each other about what seeds are working or where to get a better deal on things we need for the fields. We don't have a big staff or anyone in a suit. It is just us, with dirt under our fingernails, trying to get the grain sorted and sold. Sometimes we spend more time fixing the fence or talking about the local news than we do on paperwork. It feels more natural that way. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation; we just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually pays for the food on our tables. It is a slow process, and we make mistakes now and then with the filing, but we are learning as we go. It is just local people helping local people.
