Bhupalram Kisan Producer Company Limited

Our group is known as Bhupalram Kisan Producer Company Limited. We are based in Village Rath, and Pushpa Devi is the one who helps us keep things in order from her home in the Baheri area. We are just a group of farmers who live nearby and decided that we were tired of struggling on our own. It’s much easier to handle the business side of farming when you have a few neighbors standing with you. We don't have a big office building or any staff in suits. Most of our work is done out in the sun or under a tree when we need a break. We talk about things that matter to us, like the price of diesel for the pumps or why the crop didn't do as well in the lower field this year. Pushpa Devi handles the registrations and the various forms that the government requires. It’s a lot of headache for us, so having one person who knows how to deal with it is a big help. We grow what we’ve always grown here, mostly grains and whatever else the season allows. We don't try to sound like a big business because we aren't. We are just folks who know how to plow a field and harvest a crop. Working together helps us get better deals on the things we have to buy and hopefully a better price when we sell.
