National Steel Centoe & Cement

It’s just us here at National Steel Centoe & Cement on New Road. We spend most of our days moving bags around and making sure things are where they need to be. Shah Alibanda is always busy, especially around this part of the road. People come in looking for stuff for their houses or small repairs. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a shop where we keep the stock. Sometimes the dust from the cement gets on everything, but that's part of the job. We've been at this address for a while now. Most people know where the 20-40-194/7/14 building is. It's nothing special to look at, just a regular place where work gets done. My dad started things or maybe it was just a family thing, and we just kept it going. We handle the heavy stuff so the builders don't have to worry about where it's coming from. If someone needs a few bags or some steel rods, they just drop by. The traffic on New Road can be a headache in the afternoons. But we like it here. It's home. We don't do much talking, mostly just loading trucks and checking the inventory. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside. But we stay open and keep the gates unlocked for whoever shows up. There’s no big secret to how we run things, we just show up and do what needs doing every day.
