The High Design

The High Design is located right in the middle of Bariatu. Ranchi can be a confusing place if you aren't from here, but Bariatu is one of those spots that everyone ends up in eventually. We don't have a big flashy sign or anything, we’re just another part of the street. It’s quiet enough for us to get things done, but you still hear the city moving outside. The 834009 zip code is where we’ve set ourselves up. It feels like a real community around here. You see people walking to the market or kids coming home from school in the afternoons. Our space is simple. It's got desks and chairs and not much else in the way of decoration. We like it that way because it keeps things focused. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't really gotten around to that yet. We’re usually too busy with whatever is on the table. Living and working in Ranchi means you get used to the rhythm of the place. Some days are slower than others. When it rains, the water collects a bit near the entrance, but we just put some bricks down and keep going. It’s a honest kind of life here in Bariatu. Nothing too fancy, just a place where we put in our hours every day. It’s the kind of spot where you know the neighbors by their walk and the local tea stall knows exactly how much sugar you take.
