Softy Center

This is Softy Center on Hesal Road in Ranchi. We are located right opposite the Century Ply Board building. I started this little place in the 834001 area because there weren't many places to get a cold treat around here. It’s not a big restaurant, just a small shop with a couple of soft serve machines. I spend most of my day making sure the machines are running right and keeping the place clean. The 834001 area of Ranchi gets quite dusty because of all the construction and traffic, so I’m always wiping down the counters. We don't have a long list of flavors, just the basics that everyone likes. Most of my customers are people working nearby or families taking a walk in the evening. It’s a very simple business and I like it that way. I don't have any professional help, it’s mostly just me and occasionally a cousin. We don't have any air conditioning, just the breeze from the door and a small fan. When the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just have to wait it out. I don’t do any advertising at all. People just see the Softy Center sign on Hesal Road and come in when they are thirsty or want something sweet. It’s an honest way to spend the day. Ranchi is a good place to be and I enjoy serving the people on Ratu Road and Hesal.
