Show Merchant Entertainments

We are located on Ratu Road in Ranchi, right near the Gurudwara at Piska More. It’s a very busy intersection, and there’s always something going on outside our door. Show Merchant Entertainments is basically us trying to put together shows and events for whoever needs them. We have a lot of equipment like speakers and lights that we have to keep organized, though it usually ends up in a bit of a mess. Most of our days are spent talking to performers or people who want to put on a show. We don't have a fancy showroom, just a space where we keep our gear and sit down to figure out the schedule. Ranchi can be a tough place to move things around because of the narrow roads and the crowds. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks in the heat or the rain. Sometimes we have to stay at a venue until three in the morning just to get everything packed back up. It’s a lot of physical work and sometimes things break or get lost, which is frustrating. We just try to keep everything running so the show actually happens. It’s not a glamorous life, but we like being part of the noise and the action here on Ratu Road. We just do what we can with what we have and keep things moving.
