If you come to Kanak Apartment on the 3rd floor, that’s where you’ll find Global Media Solutions. We are in the PP Compound area of Ranchi, right on the Main Road. Being on the third floor is nice because it gets us a little bit away from the constant noise of the traffic below, though you can still hear the louder trucks. The apartment building has its own rhythm. We have a couple of rooms filled with desks and wires. It’s a media place, so there’s always something being edited or some files being moved around on the server. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. We have a small pantry where we keep the kettle going for tea. Ranchi weather is usually okay, but when it rains, you can see it coming down hard over the Main Road from our windows. People drop by without much warning sometimes. We don't have those fancy glass partitions or anything. Just open spaces where we can talk to each other without having to get up. It’s a very straightforward way of working. Most of our day is spent looking at screens or talking to people about their projects. We keep it simple. The PP Compound is a busy spot, so there’s always something happening outside our door. It’s just our daily routine in a very busy part of the town.
