It’s a quiet part of town compared to the main city center, and we like it that way. Most of the people who come to see us are people who live right here in Booti. We know their families and what they do for work. It’s just a one-room shop with a couple of chairs. We don't have any of those modern machines or fancy chairs that recline all the way back. Just the basic stuff you need to get a hair cut. Sometimes in the rainy season, the roof leaks a tiny bit, but we’ve patched it up. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. It’s clean enough and the mirrors are clear. We spend our days cutting hair and chatting with whoever sits in the chair. It’s honest work. Sometimes young boys come in wanting something they saw on TV, and we try our best to get it close. Mostly it’s just regular cuts for working men. We open up in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. There’s no big secret to what we do. We just stay in our spot in Booti and wait for the regulars to come by.
