The shop is right here in Harmu Bazaar, not far from the Panch Mandir. Most people in the Harmu Housing Colony know where we are because we’ve been at this spot for a good while now. It is a simple place, honestly. We have the usual chairs and the big mirrors that sometimes get a bit foggy when it rains in Ranchi. If you are walking down from the temple, you’ll see our sign for Rajendra Hair Cutting Salon. It isn’t anything fancy or like those big malls. We just handle hair. Usually, there is some local news playing on the radio or customers are just chatting about whatever is happening in the market that day. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on Sunday mornings, so people end up sitting outside for a bit. We try to keep things moving, but you know how it goes when neighbors start talking. The floors get covered in hair pretty fast, and we spend a lot of time sweeping it up. It’s a small shop, but it works for us and the people living around here. There is plenty of light coming in from the front, and we keep our scissors sharp. If you need a quick trim or just want to sit in a chair for twenty minutes, this is where we are. Nothing too complicated about it. We just open up every morning and wait for the first person to walk in. We see a lot of familiar faces here.
