We’ve been here in J P Nagar for quite a while now. Most people around Dhurwa know us because we’re always around the neighborhood handling one event or another. It’s a lot of hard work, mostly early mornings getting the big stoves ready and making sure the vegetables are fresh from the market nearby. We started this small thing because we liked cooking for big groups and seeing people eat well. It isn’t always easy, especially when the weather gets bad or someone changes their mind about the menu at the last minute, but we manage. Our kitchen is usually pretty busy with people chopping onions or stirring big pots of dal. We don’t have a big office or anything fancy like that. Most of our meetings happen right here at the shop or over the phone while we’re busy working. We focus on the food and making sure there’s enough for everyone who shows up to the party. People know where to find us if they need help with a wedding or just a small get-together at home. We just try to do a decent job so people come back to us next time. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic during the peak season when everyone wants to get married at once, but that’s just how this business goes. We’ve seen many families grow up around here over the years and it feels good to be a part of their celebrations. We're just a local team doing what we know how to do, without any of that corporate stuff.
