Priraj Agro Private Limited

Down in Samdega village, near the Bano area, is where you will find our small operation. We work out of Sylvanus Lugun’s place. It is a quiet part of the country, mostly just trees and open fields as far as you can see. We started Priraj Agro Private Limited because we wanted to do a bit more with the crops we were already growing on our land. Farming in this part of the state has plenty of challenges. The roads are not always in great shape and the big markets feel very far away when you have a lot of produce to move. But we like the work. It keeps us busy and grounded. Sylvanus keeps the books for the most part, and the rest of us are usually out in the fields or checking on the storage sheds. We are not a big corporation with offices or fancy rolling chairs. Our meetings usually happen standing up in the yard or sitting on a wooden bench outside. We talk about the rain, the quality of the soil, and who is selling what this week. It is very basic stuff. We try to keep everything simple so there are not too many mistakes made. We are just regular people from around Bano who know a thing or two about agriculture. We grow stuff, we pack it, and we try to sell it for a fair price. (249 words)
