New Look Gents Salon

This little shop sits right on H.B Road in the Tharpakhna area of Ranchi. Being right across from Sudhir Surgical means there’s always people walking by or traffic humming outside the door. We’ve been here for a bit now, just doing the usual hair and shave work for men in the neighborhood. It’s a small space, so it can get a bit crowded on weekends when everyone decides they need a haircut at the same time. We have those old-style chairs that still work fine, even if they squeak a little when you adjust them. Usually, there’s a radio playing somewhere in the back or we’re just chatting with whoever is sitting in the chair. It’s not one of those posh places where they give you tea; it’s more about getting in, getting your hair done, and heading back out to whatever you were doing. We keep the mirrors clean, though the dust from the road always finds its way in somehow. Most of our regulars are guys from around the 834001 zip code who’ve been coming to New Look Gents Salon since we first opened. We don't bother with fancy brochures or expensive ads. People just know where we are. Sometimes the wait is ten minutes, sometimes it's an hour, just depends on the day. We do our best to keep things moving along. It’s a honest living and we like being part of the street here. It’s just hair and talk.
