Lady World Beauty Parlour

My parlour is located in Birsa Bazar, right near Birsa Chowk in Ranchi. If you find Jayshree Medical, you are almost there. It’s a very busy spot because of the market, so there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking outside. Inside Lady World Beauty Parlour, things are a bit quieter. I have some curtains up to give the ladies some privacy. The shop is filled with the smell of hair spray and rose water. I’ve been working in Birsa Chowk for a long time, so I know a lot of the families around here. I do basic things like hair cutting, facials, and putting on henna. The chairs are old but I put fresh towels on them every day. I don’t use a computer or anything to keep track of appointments. People just walk in and wait their turn on the bench. Sometimes they have to wait a long time, but they don't seem to mind because they can talk to each other. Ranchi weather can be unpredictable, so when it rains, the shop gets quite damp. I just put a rug down and keep going. My tools are kept in a wooden box near the mirror. It’s a humble place, and I like it that way. I do my work and then I go home to my own family. It’s a simple life running a small parlour in a busy market like this.
