We’ve been running Hexagon Softwares And Consultancy Pvt Ltd here in Ranchi for a while now. Our office is right in the 834001 area of Jharkhand, and most days it’s just us sitting at our desks working through whatever projects come our way. It isn't a fancy place with big signs or anything. We mostly just focus on the software side of things and giving advice when someone asks for it. Some mornings the traffic on the way in is a bit much, but we usually get settled in with a cup of tea before the real work starts. The walls are a bit plain and we have files stacked up in the corner, but it works for us. We started this because we knew a bit about computers and figured we could make a living out of it here in our hometown. It’s quiet enough most afternoons, which helps when you’re trying to figure out a difficult bit of code. People sometimes stop by looking for directions, and we try to help out when we can. We don't have a big reception area, just a few chairs and a table. Most of what we do involves sitting in front of screens for hours. It’s a job like any other, really. The floorboards creak a little when you walk near the window, and the clock on the wall is five minutes fast. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the bills are paid at the end of the month. It’s home for us.
