Our office is located at E-51 in Sector-1 of the HEC Colony. Being in Dhurwa, we are part of a neighborhood that was built specifically for the workers and their families. It’s a very established part of Ranchi, and most of the houses and buildings around here look pretty much the same. We have been in this spot for a long time, dealing with the administration and planning side of the heavy engineering work. It’s not a fancy glass building or anything like that. It is just a standard office in a residential-style sector. We have a lot of files, a few desks, and the usual sounds of a busy workplace. People come in to drop off paperwork or talk about ongoing projects. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We are just here to make sure the operations run smoothly. The trees outside provide some nice shade during the hot summer months in Jharkhand. We’ve seen the colony change quite a bit over the decades, but our routine stays mostly the same. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the shortcuts through the sectors by heart. It is a quiet place to work compared to the actual factory floors, which is nice. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and go home when the shift is over. No big slogans, just work.
