Gentle Mens Parlour & Salon

Our place is on Ratu Road in the Pandra area of Ranchi. We are quite close to the Ravi Steel Chowk, so there is always the sound of trucks and cars passing by outside. The shop is small and simple, but we manage to fit in a few chairs and a bench for waiting. It’s mostly the local men from the market or the nearby houses who come to us. We offer the usual haircuts and clean shaves. Sometimes a customer asks for a head massage if he’s had a particularly long shift at the steel yard. We use local creams and standard razors, nothing too pricey or modern. It’s not a luxury salon, just a regular parlour for the working man. The floor is tiled so we can sweep it easily throughout the day. We try to keep the mirrors clean of any water spots. Sometimes the power goes out in Ranchi, so we have a little light to keep going until it comes back. People mostly talk about their work or the local sports scores while they sit in the chair. It’s a good way to spend the time while working. We aren't doing anything out of the ordinary here. We just keep our blades sharp and make sure folks leave looking better than when they walked in. If you are near the chowk, you will see our sign. It's just a simple door on a busy street.
