Gelert Salon

Our salon is located on Circular Road over in Lalpur. If you know where Hari Om Tower is, we are right near there. It is a busy spot in Ranchi with lots of students and office people walking by all the time. The shop is not too big, just enough space for a few chairs and a place for people to sit while they wait. We have some magazines on the table, though they are usually a few months old and the covers are a bit torn. The lighting is okay, bright enough to see what we are doing with the scissors. Sometimes the street noise from Circular Road gets a bit loud, especially when the horns start going off in the afternoon. We have a routine of cleaning the mirrors and wiping down the counters every morning before anyone shows up. It is mostly just us doing our work and talking to the regulars about the weather or how the local traffic is getting worse every year. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the name on the front. We use the same types of shampoos and oils that most people use at home. It gets dusty because of the road, so we are always dusting things off. It is a simple place to get your hair fixed up without any fuss. We stay here until late evening and then head home like everyone else in Lalpur.
