F&B Associate

Working out of a house makes things feel a bit different than a regular office block. We’ve got desks set up in what used to be living areas. Most of the time we are talking about food supplies or looking over delivery lists. It gets pretty noisy when the trucks go by the chowk outside. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the paperwork and making sure the orders are right. Sometimes the internet goes out for an hour, so we just sit and have tea until it comes back on. We know the people in the neighborhood quite well since we’ve been at this spot for a long time. It’s a simple setup. We don't use many fancy tools, just some old pens and a lot of notebooks. Sometimes we get distracted by the stray dogs outside or the kids playing in the street. But we always get the work finished before it’s time to head home. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if the office feels a bit cramped sometimes with all the files. We just keep moving through the pile of work one page at a time.
