Deepanjali Tent House & Caterer

Deepanjali Tent House & Caterer has been on Harmu Road for years. If you know the area, you know how the traffic can get. We are right there in the middle of it. Our shop is filled with rolls of tent cloth, stacks of plastic chairs, and all sorts of catering equipment. It’s not very organized, but we have our own system. Most mornings start with us loading up an old truck to head out to a site. Whether it’s a big wedding or a small prayer meeting, we treat the work the same. It’s hard labor, especially when the sun is beating down on Harmu Road. We don’t have a polished sales pitch. We just talk to people who walk in and tell them what we can do. Some days we are short-staffed and have to work double shifts, but that’s just the nature of this business. We do the cooking and the tent setup together, which is a lot to handle. But it means we can keep an eye on everything ourselves. We aren't looking to become some huge corporation. We just want to do right by the people who hire us. Our curtains might have a few wrinkles and the chairs aren't brand new, but they do the job. People in the neighborhood trust us because they see us working hard every single day. That is the only way we know how to work.
