Our office is out in Karme, which is right across from the Glass Factory in Ranchi. It’s a bit away from the main city center, so it’s quieter and has more space around it. Being near the factory means there is always some activity nearby, but our place is focused on software research. It sounds like something from a movie, but really it’s just us sitting at desks and trying to figure out how to make software better. We spend a lot of time testing things and seeing why they break. The office isn't anything special to look at. We’ve got some basic furniture and our computers, and that’s about it. We don't have a big sign or a fancy entrance. Most of us take the bus or ride our bikes to get here. It’s a practical location for us because the rent isn't as high as it is in the middle of Ranchi. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big corporate office. We just want a quiet place where we can do our work without too many distractions. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we keep the inside clean enough. We’ve been here for a while and the people in Karme know us as the computer folks across from the factory. Sometimes we walk over to the small shops for snacks in the evening. It’s a simple routine and it works for what we are trying to do.
