Bombay Tent Service

We've been at Karbala Chowk for a long time now. Most people around here know us because of the big trucks and the stacks of poles we keep outside. It’s not a fancy office, just a place where we get work done. When someone in the neighborhood has a wedding or a small function, they usually walk in and talk to us directly. We don’t really do much advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have seen us setting up tents in the heat or rain over the years. It’s hard work, lifting those heavy iron pipes and trying to get the fabric just right so it doesn't sag. Sometimes the weather doesn't help at all. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us through many seasons. They know the streets around Karbala Chowk like the back of their hands. We keep our chairs and tables stored in the back, and yes, they get a bit dusty, but we try to keep things moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to make sure the local families have what they need for their gatherings. There are days when everything is a bit chaotic with three events happening at once, but we manage to get the trucks loaded. It’s a local life, nothing more. We see the same faces every day and that’s how we like it.
