A Dulhan Parlour

A Dulhan Parlour is situated in Shop No 4 of the Rajendra Complex on the Main Road in Ranchi. We are right opposite Kashmir Vastralaya, which is a big landmark that everyone in the city knows. Being on the Main Road means it is always incredibly busy outside with people and traffic. Our shop is where a lot of local brides come to get ready for their big day. It is not a huge place, but we have enough space for the makeup and hair styling. There are big mirrors and plenty of lights so we can see every detail of the work. The complex itself is quite old and the stairs can be a bit steep. Inside the shop, we have various boxes of jewelry and makeup sets piled up on the shelves. It gets very hectic during the wedding season, with people coming and going at all hours. Sometimes the tea boy from downstairs brings us some snacks while we are working on a long styling session. We do not use any fancy marketing tricks, we just let the work speak for itself. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread or fallen pins by the end of the day. It is a lively place to work because there is always some excitement about a wedding happening somewhere in Ranchi. We just try to keep things moving and get everyone ready on time without making a big deal out of the stress.
