Most people in this area know Shyamsunder because of his long connection to the land and the village. We aren't some big city firm with a glass office. Our space is right behind the GSS, and it is pretty basic. We spend our days dealing with the practical side of farming—checking on the water, seeing who needs what for their fields, and trying to keep the company records straight. It’s often dusty and loud with the tractors going by, but that’s just how it is here. We focus on the things that actually matter to a farmer, like getting good seeds or finding a way to get our produce to the market without it costing us everything. We don't have a mission statement written on the wall or anything like that. We just know that if we don't look out for each other, no one else will. People stop by all the time just to ask a question or share some news about their plot of land. It’s a community thing more than a business thing, even though we have the official paperwork. We are just local people trying to make the most of what we have.
