Sunbeam International

Our office, Sunbeam International, is up in room 306 of the AALAP-B building at Limbda ChowK. It’s a well-known spot in the city, so most people don’t have much trouble finding us once they get to the chowk. The building is usually full of activity, with people going up and down the stairs all day. We’ve been in this office for a while, and the walls are covered with notes and calendars to keep track of everything. It’s not the biggest space, but it’s enough for what we do. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working through emails, trying to coordinate things that are often far away. Sometimes things go smoothly and other days it feels like we are chasing our tails, but that’s just how this kind of business works. We don’t have a big reception desk or someone in a suit greeting you at the door. It’s just us at our desks, usually with a cup of tea nearby. The noise from Limbda Chowk filters in through the windows, which lets us know the city is still moving even when we’re stuck inside. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a fancy office setup. We just want to make sure the work gets handled and we stay on top of the orders. It’s practical, everyday work that keeps us busy from morning until late afternoon when we finally lock up.
