Royal Kitchenware

We are based at A 2/7 in the Aji G.I.D.C. area, right next to Dawn Engineering. Our business, Royal Kitchenware, is pretty much what the name says. We make items for the kitchen, mostly out of metal. The factory floor is always busy and there’s a lot of clanging and banging from the presses. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes because of all the oil and metal shavings. We don't have a fancy office upstairs; our desks are right near the production area so we can see what’s going on. We have been in this spot for a good number of years now. The G.I.D.C. is a tough place to work sometimes, especially when it’s hot, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't spend money on advertising or shiny catalogs. Most of our customers are people we’ve dealt with for a long time. We just try to make things that work and get them out to the shops on time. Sometimes a machine breaks or a shipment is late, and we just have to deal with it as it happens. There isn't any big secret to what we do; it’s just showing up every day and making sure the work gets done. We have a small crew and we all pitch in wherever we’re needed, whether it’s manufacturing or loading the trucks at the end of the day. It’s loud and messy, but it’s how we’ve always done it.
