Street Fashion

Our place, Street Fashion, is in the Shivji Kruap building in Nadoda Nagar, on Street No. 6 just off Gondal Road. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but it’s a good spot once you find it. The shop is just a single room filled with whatever we’ve managed to get in that week. We don’t have a lot of storage, so most of what we have is out on the floor for everyone to see. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving racks around, and the floor is just plain cement. It’s a very simple operation. Usually, there’s only one of us here at a time. We spend the quiet hours dusting the shelves and making sure everything is in the right place. There is a small window that lets in some light, but most of it comes from the open door. We get a lot of local workers coming in during their lunch breaks. We don’t do any of that fancy advertising you see in the bigger cities. People just know we are here. We have a small wooden chair in the corner where we sit when there are no customers. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for the noise from the nearby workshops. We’ve been here for a few years and we plan to stay. It’s just a regular shop for regular people. We don't try to make it look like something it's not. It stays dusty because of the Gondal Road traffic nearby.
