I work out of Office No. 706 in the Everest Building. It’s located right at Limda Chowk, directly opposite Shastri Maidan. Being on the seventh floor gives a pretty good view of the park, especially when there’s a match going on or a local event. The building is quite busy, with people constantly going up and down the elevators. It’s a typical commercial setup. Inside the office, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and a lot of paper. I’ve been here for quite some time, and the rhythm of Limda Chowk has become very familiar. The traffic sounds from below are like background noise that I don’t even notice anymore. I usually get in early before the heat starts to pick up. Most of the day is spent on the phone or working through files. It’s not a big fancy operation with dozens of employees. It’s more personal than that. People stop by to discuss things, and we usually sit around the small table in the corner. There’s a tea vendor downstairs who brings up a tray every afternoon. The Everest Building has seen a lot of tenants come and go, but I’ve stayed put in 706. It’s a solid place to work. You get to see the whole city move from up here. It’s practical and centrally located, which makes it easy for everyone to reach. I like the routine of being in the heart of the city while being high enough to avoid the worst of the dust.
